01 How much does towing cost in Auckland? +
We don't publish flat rates because every job is different. Pricing is quote-based and depends on distance, vehicle type, condition, where it's parked, and what we find on site. Call us with the details and we'll be straight with you about cost before we start work.
02 What information do you need for a quote? +
The quickest path to an accurate quote is: pickup address, drop-off address (if known), vehicle make/model/year, what's wrong (won't start, accident, flat battery, transport only), where it's parked, and how soon you need us. Photos sent by SMS or email help a lot.
03 Can you tow lowered cars and prestige vehicles? +
Yes. Our flatbed lies flat to the ground so we can load low-clearance, lowered, sports and prestige vehicles without scraping splitters or bumpers. We use soft straps and avoid chassis tie-downs. Tell us up front if your car is unusually low, has an aftermarket kit, or is an EV — we'll plan accordingly.
04 What if my car will not start, or cannot go into neutral? +
We can still load most non-running vehicles with our flatbed. If the vehicle can't be put into neutral, can't be steered, or can't be rolled, we may need extra time and equipment, or in tight spaces a different approach. Mention this on the form or by phone so we bring the right gear.
05 Can you tow from underground carparks or tight driveways? +
Often yes — but underground carparks and very tight access need to be assessed. Tell us the carpark name, ceiling height clearance if you know it, and any access restrictions. If a job is genuinely unsafe to attempt with a flatbed we'll tell you and suggest an alternative.
06 Do you tow accident-damaged cars? +
Yes. We work alongside drivers, police and insurers after a crash to recover damaged vehicles cleanly and minimise further damage during transport. If police or emergency services are at the scene, we follow their instructions.
07 Can you transport a car outside Auckland? +
Yes, by appointment. We arrange out-of-Auckland transport for purchases, deliveries and inter-city moves. Send us pickup, drop-off and a target time window and we'll plan the run end-to-end.
08 Do I need to be with the vehicle when you arrive? +
Not always. If we have your authorisation and the vehicle is accessible, we can pick it up and deliver it without you on site. For accident or insurance jobs, the requirements depend on your insurer — call us if you're not sure.
09 Do you speak Chinese? +
Yes. Drive1 Towing serves Auckland's Chinese community in 中文 as well as English — feel free to use the Chinese version of this site (中文) and we'll reply in the language you're comfortable with.
